For the past 11 years, I have worked as a lighter and compositor at Blizzard Entertainment in their pre-rendered cinematics department.  For 9 of those 11 years, I have acted as a project lead.


Overwatch

Lead Lighter and Compositor for Overwatch

Responsibilities included:

  • Sequence lighting setup, including HDR capture and editing.
  • Provided show specific light-rigs to Surfacing, ensuring consistent surface behavior when assets were delivered to lighting.
  • Worked closely with Surfacing and Look-Development to ensure the quality of the assets.
  • Built lighting and compositing templates.
  • Mentored and supported the lighting and compositing team members, ensuring that the artists had everything they needed to complete their tasks.
  • Provided artistic feedback to the artists in support of the Director, Art Director, and Lighting Supervisor's direction.
